Open Studio Art Program

Artful Minds Open Studio at Keswick is back!

Starting September 11, join other creative spirits Monday and Wednesday mornings for a variety of visual art projects. Keswick’s new fellows, Rebecca Burr and Sara Kaltwasser, will guide participants on projects ranging from printmaking to making sculptures out of old lampshades!
Mondays at 10am:

Explore mixed-media drawing, painting and printmaking on Monday mornings starting at 10am! Play with art materials while working on prompted projects, or develop and create your own artworks with guidance from artist Sara Kaltwasser! During this open studio art session, participants will learn exciting mixed media painting techniques, explore a range of printmaking processes, and experiment with combinations of 2d and 3d materials to make interesting works of art!

Wednesdays at 10am:
Come discover how you can create sculptures out of items sitting in your own closet! On Wednesdays at 10:00 AM join artist Rebecca Burr to create art out of lampshades, old sneakers, shoe boxes and more! In this open studio class, participants will learn how to create 3D sculptures by repurposing material, investigate ways to create texture, use transparent media with natural/artificial light and discover that art has no limits! Participants are welcome to experience the planned projects, put their own creative flare on a project through experimentation or initiate projects of their own.
