ABOUT THE SPEAKER: DELEGATE DAN MORHAIM, MD

Dr. Dan Morhaim, author of “To the Better End… Surviving and Dying on your own terms in today’s modern medical world,” brings a unique and diverse background. As a physician, he has had more than 30 years of front-line clinical experience treating patients in emergency medicine and internal medicine. As a business person, he founded and built a medical group practice to more than 90 doctors at 6 hospitals. As a Maryland state legislator, Dan was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 1994, and has been re-elected every four years since. As an academic, Dan is a faculty member at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where he teaches, organizes an annual lecture series and writes articles. Dan has been honored for his medical, academic, legislative and civic activities by numerous organizations. As a public speaker, he speaks to a wide variety of audiences, from community groups to health care professionals, as well as local and national media.
