Join Artist & Educator, Catherine Leberg, as we explore how to use clay to make art! This class is open to individuals of all skill levels. Whether you are trying clay work for the first time or have a little bit of sculpture experience under your belt, this class is a great way to get into the studio and make something new! Participants in this class will explore what the medium of clay can do. With a focus on hand-building techniques, class attendees will learn how to construct pinched and slabbed forms to create 3D objects. Emphasis on the creation of well-crafted objects, sculpture care and repair, and basic glazing techniques will be addressed. All works will be kiln fired at Keswick. Materials are included as part of this live, socially-distanced class.
