November’s book title for the Hampden Library book club is Silent Spring by Rachael Carson. Rachael Carson was a biologist for the federal government when she first noted the effects of the unregulated use of pesticides and herbicides, sparking a revolution in environmental policy and new ecological consciousness. All are welcome to participate, even if you haven’t read the book.
