November is American Diabetes Awareness month. Join the Wise & Well Center to learn how to lower your risk of developing diabetes, or how best to manage it. We will focus on diabetes basic, healthy eating, and moving you muscles! We stand greater than diabetes. This is a virtual class.
Session 1 – November 4, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Power Over Diabetes: Learn the basics of diabetes including types, risk factors and symptoms. Take the diabetes risk test and become the best manager of your care!
Session 2 – November 11, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: You Can Still Eat the Foods You Love: Learn how to create a healthy plate while still enjoying your favorite foods through meal planning, reading food labels, and portion sizes.
Sessions 3 – November 18, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Motions & Potions – How Activity Helps: Learn the benefits of exercise and create an action to jumpstart your fitness activity to improve or lower your risk of diabetes.
