Stepping On Falls Prevention (A Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging Curriculum)

Have you experienced a slip, trip, or fall that has shaken your confidence or left you with the fear of falling, or worse yet, resulted in injury? You understand that a threat of a fall is often
a “game changer” and can be a barrier to doing activities you enjoy at home and in your community. This falls prevention course provides opportunities to increase awareness to reduce your risk for falling. Community experts – physical therapists, vision experts, public safety officers and pharmacists – share tips for what you can do to stay steady on your feet. This interactive workshop can reduce your risk for falling. Join us as we increase your strength and balance, evaluate home hazards and evaluate your medication management to live well at home in your community. Seven-week series.
