Many older people have suffered a slip, trip or fall experience that has shaken their confidence or resulted in injury. You understand that a threat of a fall is a “game changer” as a barrier to doing activities safely at home or in your community. Falls awareness and prevention strategies are key to personal independence for all of us as we age. This workshop builds self-confidence and offers you a mindful way to reduce your fall risk. This highly interactive workshop covers a variety of topics that include fall and risk, strength and balance exercises, home hazards, safe footwear, vision, safety in public places and how medication management can impact your risk.
