Build strength, balance, confidence, and practical fall-prevention skills in this free seven-week evidence-based program.A slip, trip, or fall can change the way you feel about everyday activities—but fear of falling does not have to keep you from doing the things you enjoy. Stepping On is a free seven-week fall-prevention program designed to help participants reduce fall risk and build greater confidence at home and in the community. Using the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging curriculum, the series combines practical education with strategies participants can use in everyday life. Topics include strength and balance, identifying home hazards, medication management, and other factors that can affect fall risk. Registration is for the complete seven-week series. Please register once to participate in all seven sessions; individual weekly sessions are not offered as separate registrations. Series dates: October 26; November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30; December 7. Free program. Registration required.
