Booster FAQ:
What is a bivalent booster?
These updated boosters contain both the original strain of the SARS-CoV-2 and the most common lineages of the omicron variant and offer broad protection against COVID-19.
Who should get the booster?
Anyone, 12 and older who hasn't received a COVID-19 vaccine in the last two months. If you've had COVID-19 within the last 90 days, speak with your healthcare provider before getting the booster.
Will there be side effects?
It's possible to feel a little crummy the next day. Redness and swelling where the shot was administered are the most common side effects, although you could feel a little fatigued, get a headache, or some body aches after your shot. These are usually mild.
Do I really need another booster?
We know, it’s a pain. But your original vaccination series and previous boosters’ efficacy diminishes over time. The best way to protect yourself, your family, your coworkers, and our residents is to stay up-to-date with the latest COVID-19 booster shot.If you have questions or would like more information about the current COVID-19 vaccine please visit the CDC's website.
