Living with a chronic condition can be full of challenges that may limit your engagement in activities and the life you enjoy. This workshop has helped many older people overcome the same challenges that you may be experiencing. It offers you the opportunity to be empowered, learn new behaviors and approaches to better manage symptoms and improve your quality of life, enabling you to re-engage in the life that you enjoy! This is an opportunity to discover how to function at your best regardless of the difficulties the chronic condition may present. Workshop participants share similar challenges and help each other find solutions, set action plans, and build self-confidence to overcome barriers. We will cover nutrition, physical movement, stress and medication management, and planning for the future. Participants report that they have more energy, fewer symptoms, greater ability, and enhanced communication with their health providers! This six-week series is part of the Steps to Healthier Living, Self-Management Resource Center Program. Facilitators: Trina Adams and Sue Bender. This is a Live only event.
