Find out about the work of the Division of Pictorial Publicity of the Committee for Public Information in WWI. Review posters designed for recruiting, as well as those designed to manage resources on the home front, to encourage gardening, and to involve people in non-military roles. Learn why these posters were produced, who the artists were, which images have persisted, and why “Liberty” began to take over from “Columbia” as the embodiment of the spirit of the Nation.
