Abstraction in Sound

Abstraction as well as other forms of non-representational painting have often been inspired by music, from the connections between Kandinsky and Wagner to the influence of Jazz in the works of Norman Lewis. You will learn techniques for making abstract marks and then listen to music to see how our visual choices are impacted by what we hear, and how it makes us feel. Musical inspirations will include Mozart, Beethoven, Jazz, Motown, and the Blues. This is a Live only event.
